Please join us in welcoming the first nine Fellows who have been selected for the ELIXIR-UK FAIR data stewardship training Fellowship 2021! We received a number of strong applications and our Fellows have been selected for their experience, passion and knowledge of data stewardship and training in the life sciences. We look forward to working with them as part of this exciting new Fellowship.
The 2021 Fellows are: Andrew Mason, Annabel Cansdale, Emma Karoune, Katarzyna Kamieniecka, Korneel Hens, Laura Cooper, Rob Ewing, Saskia Lawson-Tovey and Elvina Gountouna.
These Fellows join us as part of our UKRI funded FAIR data stewardship training project to produce training, develop their skills and foster a data steward community across the UK. They include researchers from early to senior career stages, facility operators and core support bioinformaticians, and cover expertise in areas including health data, proteomics, metagenomics and imaging.
Our Fellows come from eight institutions across the UK, including a mix of ELIXIR-UK member and non-member organisations: The Alan Turing Institute, Oxford Brookes University, University of Bradford, University of Edinburgh, University of Manchester, University of Southampton, University of Warwick and University of York.
You can find all of our Fellow’s profiles here. If you find Fellows with a shared interest that you would like to connect with, many have included links to their social media and institutional webpage, so please reach out.
If you are interested in finding out more about our Fellowship programme then you can read more here. You can also subscribe to our weekly newsletter here which will keep you updated on the Fellowship and inform you when the next round of applications is open.
