ELIXIR-UK at the UKRI DRI Community Congress
On March 6th and 7th, members of ELIXIR-UK (Carole Goble, University of Manchester, Nicola Soranzo, Earlham Institute and Gos Micklem, University of Cambridge) attended the UKRI Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI) Community Congress. This year marked 5 years since the work was undertaken in the UKRI Infrastructure Roadmap.
Invited to this meeting were a wide range of participants, including representatives from government, industry, and across the breadth of the research and innovation DRI community.
The content of this two-day event covered the five themes or the DRI strategy. These are:
- Data infrastructure
- Large-scale compute
- Secure services and tools for sensitive data
- Skills and career pathways
- Foundational tools, techniques and practices
We presented a poster for BioFAIR during the two-day Congress, and Carole delivered a plenary reflection response.
We look forward to attending any further Community Congress events!
