Launched in November 2023, this community focuses on ELIXIR-UK activities aligned with the ELIXIR Human Data Community (HDC) networks.  These include Health Data, Federated Human Data, Rare Diseases, Cancer Data and Human Copy Number Variation.

We meet every two months over Zoom and focus on UK updates from across the HDC networks, sharing experiences, signposting resources and discussing new opportunities to get involved.

• Highlight ELIXIR resources that can benefit UK human data research teams
• Learn about ELIXIR and European human data activities and infrastructure
• Identify opportunities for ELIXIR-UK teams to contribute to ELIXIR and European ongoing projects and new grant applications in the context of this community.
• Bring together UK individuals and teams to network and exchange ideas

This community is for anyone interested in human data in the life sciences at all career stages, whether within ELIXIR-UK or outside. This includes, but is not limited to:

• Researchers
• Technical staff (e.g. data stewards, bioinformaticians, software engineers)
• Methodologists (e.g. statisticians, epidemiologists)
• Trainers and educators
• Health professionals (e.g. clinicians, nurses, allied health professionals)
