About ELIXIR Europe
ELIXIR is an intergovernmental organisation that brings together life science resources from across Europe. It supports life science research and its translation to medicine, the environment, the bio-industries and society. These resources include databases, software tools, training materials, cloud storage and supercomputers.
The goal of ELIXIR is to coordinate these resources so that they form a federated and integrated digital infrastructure. This infrastructure makes it easier for scientists to find and share data, exchange expertise, and agree on best practices. Ultimately, it will help them gain new insights into how living organisms work.
ELIXIR is organised by a coordinating Hub and Nodes in each member country, bringing together over 230+ research-performing organisations. An ELIXIR Node is a collection of research institutes within a member country. ELIXIR Nodes run the resources and services, activities and communities that form ELIXIR.
About the UK Node
