Timothy is a bioinformatician and software developer at Edinburgh Genomics. At this core sequencing facility, he has developed multiple pipelines for rapid and reliable sequencing data analysis, with Snakemake at the heart of these workflows. He has contributed to both the Snakemake developer community and the Snakemake codebase itself.

With over two decades of teaching experience in Linux skills, programming, and data analysis, Timothy has designed an introductory Snakemake course that is now part of the Software Carpentries extended curriculum. This course has become one of the most popular training offerings from Edinburgh Genomics, attracting participants from around the world.
