Xènia Pérez Sitjà
I work at the intersection of research data, infrastructure and culture change, enabling communities to collaborate, adopt FAIR practices and increase the visibility and impact of their work.
My background combines biomedicine (BSc) and science communication (MSc), along with experience in both the public and private sectors. I have worked as a conference producer across life sciences, cybersecurity, and data-driven industries, and as a freelance consultant supporting research groups, SMEs, and multinational organisations to communicate complex science, shape strategy and position their outputs.
I am particularly motivated to support those who build and maintain research infrastructure and to create the conditions for collaboration and sustainable open science. I am currently leading and contributing to nationally coordinated initiatives that translate FAIR principles into practical implementation across UK research organisations as part of BioFAIR.
